  • Cut root 1.5 – 3 grams daily

There is another thing to keep in mind when consuming turmeric. Curcumin is poorly absorbed in the body, meaning that its bioavailability needs to be increased in a natural way, and according to experts, those three best natural ways are:

1. Black Pepper

Black pepper has strong medicinal properties as well, and it has been found to act as an adjuvant in a combination with turmeric.

2. Healthy Fat

Turmeric is a fat soluble spice, meaning that the addition of a healthy fat boosts the rate of its absorption. When combined with olive oil, coconut oil or ghee, it is directly absorbed into the blood stream.

Dr. Nibber states:

“ This is very important because less curcumin is exposed to metabolic enzymes and remains in a free form allowing it to stay in the body longer. “

3. Heat

This is the most simple method out of all. It basically means that every time you are cooking a recipe, it is recommended to add the turmeric spice. Heat also helps the absorption of curcumin.
